Federal Bureau of Prisons
MEC provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering and design for the installation of water treatment at a correctional facility located in Texas. The project consisted of the design of a 2M gallon elevated water storage tank, distribution pumps, and facilities for the production of reverse osmosis clarified water.
Federal Bureau of Prisons
The project involved the design of a replacement building for the Visitor's Center at the Correctional Facility. The existing 3,500 SF building was replaced with a 7,300 SF building to house reception areas, armory, control gates, emergency response and warden offices. The existing building has fallen victim to structural integrity issues such as buckling floors, cracked masonry walls, roof leaks and related issues.
Federal Bureau of Prisons
MEC updated standards for the Federal Bureau of Prisons that required boiler systems greater than 2M BTU and there to be a full-time Boiler professional to be on site at all times. After an economic analysis was performed, it was determined that the cost-effective solution involved the replacement of the one large boiler with several smaller boilers.
YLS, Inc
MEC provided an evaluation of the current filtration system for the MCB Quantico Pool, pool liner, gutter covers and slide and included an evaluation of repair or replacement, as well as a CCE for the recommended course of action.
